This is our Medium Size Crab or Grab Lock made right here at the Lock and Box Shoppe. We us this Lock on our Wedding or Dower Chests, Blanket Chests and Medium size Trunks and flat top Boxes. Often found on Germanic Style Blanket and Dower Chests This Lock has been reproduced from photos of originals.
We make this lock in three sizes. At this tie they are all listed separately.
Lock comes with one Iron Key. Extra keys may be ordered at the time of purchase so they can be cut to fit.
This lock is made to be flush mounted on the inside of your trunk or chest. Mounting screws are provided.
Can be set with or without exterior escutcheon.
Keyhole is 2 1/2" down from top flange. Lock measures 2 5/8" w x 4 1/2 L.
This style of lock automatically locks when the lid is closed.
