18th Century Style Dowry or Wedding Chest with Hand Forged Strap Hinges and Handmade Chest Lock
One of our favorite early American designs. This is a Small blanket, Dowry or wedding chest reproduced from originals we have photographed through the years.
This Chest is made of White Elm with Colonial Chestnut Stain and finished with tung oil. All hand made including the Full Strap Hinges and Reproduction Crab or Grab Lock found in many Germanic Chests from the 17th-early 19th centuries.
Chest Measures approx. 20" x 11" x 15". Top measures approx. 22" x 12".
Inside dimensions are approx. 18" x 9.75" x 10.5"
We haven't made these chests for awhile so we are offering it at a re-introductory price. Now being offered with free continental U.S. shipping.
