This is a hand forged heavy gauge 7” corner brace for early American trunks and chests.
Made of 11 ga steel this corner measures 1 1/4” at the bend and about 7/8” at the ends. Each leg measures 3 1/2” in length.
These corners come with a choice of forged head nails in 1 1/2”, 1 1/4” or 1”. Or you may order slotted flathead or roundhead screws. please specify when ordering.
5 finishes are available starting with 3 different textured finishes
Un-finished forged is textured and wire brushed with no additional finish applied.
Forged Grey is also textured but left with a grey color and then waxed.
Antique brown wash is rust colored, lightly buffed and waxed.
Plum brown is a solid brown color/ waxed.
And Linseed oil black is a traditional baked on finish which does not require wax.
These braces are sold individually. Inventory numbers only reflect material available to make your corners. All orders are made to order so please allow 2-3 weeks for your order to be shipped.
